What that means

If you click an affiliate link and then book a hotel, tour, car rental or other service, the company may pay me a small commission. You don’t pay anything extra. The price is the same as booking directly through that link.

How I choose what to recommend

• I recommend places and services because I think they’re useful for travelers, not because of a commission.
• Nobody pays me to write about them, and companies don’t review or approve what I write.
• If a free or cheaper option is better for you, I’ll say so, even when there’s no commission in it.
